Delivery & Returns

UK DELIVERY 

Mia Lia provides a range of delivery methods within the UK. On all orders placed for £49 and under we offer you a Royal Mail 'Signed For' 1st class service, this costs £4.00. All orders for £50 and above we use the insured Royal Mail 'Special Delivery' service to cover higher value items, this costs £8.00.

We will aim to dispatch all orders as soon as possible however it will take 5-7 days until orders are dispatched as everything is hand made in our studio. All engraved or hand stamped items can take longer. This does not apply if we give you notice of other delivery times during busy seasonal periods. If you need a Express Next Day delivery please contact us by 12.30pm and we will notify you if it is possible.  If we can not fulfill your order to send out on an Express Delivery you will be notified as soon as possible. Express Delivery orders made on a Friday will be received by 1pm the folllowing Monday. If you wish to have a Saturday delivery please email us so we can arrange this option for you. Orders received on Saturday and Sunday are posted on Monday.

Receiving your order
Although we aim to dispatch all orders within 5 days, it can occasionally take 5-10 days until orders are dispatched. This does not apply if we give you notice of other delivery times during busy seasonal periods. Everything is lovingly hand made in our studio so we do not want to rush as we believe we are creating a piece for you that you will treasure for a long time to come.


EU DELIVERY

Delivery within the EU costs £10 and is delivered by the Royal Mail 'International Signed For' service or Airsure. Delivery is approximately 5-10 working days and shipments need to be signed for upon receipt. 

NON-EU DELIVERY

Delivery outside of the EU to the rest of the world costs £14.00 and is handled by the Royal Mail 'International Signed For' service or Airsure. Parcels need to be signed for upon receipt and delivery and takes approximately between 7-15 working days. Any taxes or duties that occur upon delivery to non-EU countries are the responsibility of the customer.

Customers outside the United Kingdom are liable for any customs/import duty, quotas, permits, product/import restrictions and other local requirements. Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer. Some countries (eg United States and EU countries) do not charge import duty for gemstones from the UK; however, if you are unaware of the situation for your own country it is always advisable to make checks of your own.

Should a customer refuse delivery of their order they are responsible for return freight charges and any import duty incurred upon its return.

RETURNS ON BESPOKE ITEMS

Our jewellery is hand made in our workshop and we are very happy to adjust the lengths of our necklaces and bracelets where appropriate if requested.  We also offer bespoke ring sizes - please see our ring size guide for more information. Please be aware that we are unable to offer a refund or exchange for any bespoke piece, 'made to order' items including size or adjustments to our standard sizes. This includes all our hand stamped items and also applies to all earrings due to health and safety laws.

RETURNS

We hope that you are delighted with your order, but if for any reason you are not perfectly satisfied with your purchase we are happy to offer you a credit voucher providing the goods are sent back to us unworn within 14 days of receipt, A refund will only be applicable to our apparel items as all our jewellery is made to order. A credit voucher can be used at a later date. Please note all returned items should be sent back to us unworn and in their original packaging. We regret that due to hygiene reasons we do not except returns on earrings.
Arranging a return is easy. Email our customer care team at orders@mialia.co.uk within 14 days of receipt, quoting your name, address, order number and whether you require a refund, adjustment to be made to your item or a replacement. We will then contact you via email with how to proceed. When sending return items we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service, such as Royal Mail Special Delivery, for your own protection. Mia Lia Jewellery cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit. All returns, exchanges or credit notes will exclude the original postage cost unless the item is faulty. We regret that Mia Lia Limited will not pay for the cost of returning unwanted items and this will be at the customer's expense. Unwanted gifts will be eligible for an exchange or credit note providing the items to be returned are unworn and in their original packaging. You will need to provide a gift receipt or details of when the purchase was made directly from us and not a second party retailer or supplier of Mia Lia Jewellery goods.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unworn and in the original packaging you received it in and returned to us with a returns code issued by us within 14 days.
If the code issued by us is not marked on the returned packet we will not accept the delivery of the goods and return the item back to the sender.

REPAIRS

Should you find any faults with your jewellery purchased within a month we will offer you a replacement where fit or a repair service free of charge.

Our products are lovingly packed and checked before they are sent out, however if upon receipt you believe that an item is damaged or faulty, please let us know immediately by emailing our customer care team on orders@mialia.co.uk to arrange an exchange.

After this period is over we are happy to offer a repair/restringing service for our bracelets and necklaces which starts from £10 per bracelet charge.

LATE AND LOST DELAYS

Items cannot be replaced before they are classified as lost items by the Royal Mail services. That is 20 working days for UK and 30 working days for international deliveries after the dispatch date.

On international deliveries, your parcel is usually handled by more than one courier service. Hence when parcels are sent abroad, the actual delivery of your parcel will be their responsibility. Often delays of up to 10 days are caused by customs checks.

Parcels that are tracked as being delivered but not received by the customer (This may happen if you have provided us with an alternative delivery address where someone else has signed for your item). In these cases you will need to obtain a proof of delivery certificate from the Royal Mail by filling their signature request form. Please note that Mia Lia does not refund nor replace items that are tracked as being delivered. For such reasons we recommend that you provide us with your home address or work address where you will be the signatory for all deliveries.
